EMDR Trauma Therapy in MD & DC

What if this is the moment things begin to feel less heavy?

You are in the right place.

I'm Eva, a queer therapist licensed in DC and Maryland that cares deeply about your unique experience. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you experienced childhood trauma and haven't always felt accepted for who you are.

I know what it's like to be in your shoes. That's why the environment I create is warm and non-judgmental.

I have seen and experienced how only with safety and trust can meaningful growth and healing happen.

I specialize in  family of origin issueschildhood trauma, and the transition to adulthood

I am committed to a therapy approach that is culturally-informed, body-neutral, LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse-affirming.  My own anger towards oppressive systems helps to motivate me to continue to learn how I can dismantle stigma and bias in the therapy space. This is personally important to me as a first-generation child of immigrants.  Together, we can explore how larger societal systems might be contributing to what you feel today.

I have a Master's of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on the mind-body connection and have served as a therapist in community health settings and at an elementary school. Prior to becoming a talk therapist, I was a licensed massage therapist and a competitive swim coach.
